The caftan is undoubtedly the ultimate traditional female garment. It is one of the components of the Moroccan dress heritage both in its uniqueness, originality, and variety of cuts, work quality and finish. The appellation ‘Takchita’ is used for caftans that have 2 pieces carried on one another, usually each one of different material. Now, the takchita may have several different pieces (3 or even 4).
